Christoph S. Weber is an economist who finished his PhD in economics in the year 2017 at Friedrich-Alexander-Universität (FAU) Erlangen-Nürnberg.
He was a doctoral student of the Bavarian Graduate Program in Economics.
He also studied one semester at the Università degli Studi di Padova (Italy) during his undergraduate studies.
He had several stays abroad during his time at FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg. For instance, he taught courses in Chile (University of Santiago), Mexico (University of Guadalajara and Autonomous University of Baja California), Turkey (Istanbul Bilgi University and Yildiz Technical University) and South Africa (University of KwaZulu-Natal). Furthermore, he served as the coordinator of an international Master programme (MA Development Economics and International Studies).
His research areas are macroeconomics, monetary economics, and applied econometrics. He published articles in the Journal of International Money and Finance and Empirical Economics.
He joined ESSCA in October 2019 where he works as an associate professor at the Department International Studies and Business.
