Introduction
I am currently a PhD candidate in Inclusive Education at the University of Cambridge. I received my teacher training on Chinese Language Education at the Education University of Hong Kong. Upon graduation, I went to the University of Edinburgh to study a master's on Inclusive and Special Education. After that, I returned to Hong Kong to teach in a special school for students with physical disabilities for 3 years. I worked as a member in a interdisciplinary team consisting of teachers, educational psychologists, speech, occupational and physical therapists, nurses and social workers.
Expert
I have rich experience in teaching and supporting children and young people with disabilities and researching with children and frontline teachers. When working as a teacher in a special school Hong Kong, I was deeply involved in school development concerning its teaching practices, curriculum, assessment and student support. My research and professional expertise is in inclusive education policy and school practices, inclusive pedagogy, inclusive classroom practices, teacher-student relationships, student support for children and young people with disabilities and trauma-informed schooling.
