Babatunde Abimbola Abiola is a behavioural, environmental and developmental economist currently doing his doctoral studies as part of EfD’s Sustainable Management of Coastal Marine Resources (CMaR), focusing on marine plastic pollution through EPRU. Under the supervision of Associate Prof Reza Daniels, his research looks specifically at the effectiveness of behavioural nudging to address the plastic bag pollution crisis in South Africa. Babatunde lectures at the Graduate Center of Management and the Cost and Management Accounting Department at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology.
