Introduction
Arindam Banerjee is a co- founder and Partner at Policy and Development Advisory Group (PDAG).
A public policy and communications specialist, he currently advises the Chief Minister - Jharkhand and the Chief Minister's Office- Jharkhand on key welfare policy issues, media outreach and digital communications. He also oversees key research and policy partnerships between PDAG and academic and other public policy organisations.
Prior to PDAG, Arindam read for the Masters in Public Policy at Blavatnik School of Government at University of Oxford. He was a reciepent of UK Govt's Chevening Scholarship. He also worked closely with Nobel Laureates Abhijit Banerjee and Esther Duflo as a policy manager during his stint at J- PAL South Asia across New Delhi, Ranchi and Boston.
Arindam was also one of the 145 Prime Minister's Rural Development Fellows (PMRDF) with the Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India. As a PMRDF , he worked for more than 3 years to support and advise the district administration of West Midnapore, a high Left Wing Extremism affected district. During this period, he worked closely with both district and the State Government of West Bengal to formulate key community driven governance initiatives in post conflict resolution.
Arindam has also worked as a Political Correspondent with the Indian Express newspaper and has also written for both national and international publications and web portals
