Introduction
I am Alba Márquez García, a Spanish woman who has studied an Honours Degree in International Relations (Madrid - Spain) and a Master in Global Security (Glasgow - Scotland, UK). I also love languages so apart from having Spanish as my mother tongue, by formal and informal education methods still ongoing I have reached a proficient level in English, French and Italian, a very good level in Portuguese, a still basic but good German and basic Arabic, and I also have interest in and some notions of Russian.
At the university I have been involved in programs that provided help and other services to international students, and I was a trainee at the International Organisation for Migrations. While studying, I have worked in Italy (Rome) as an English teaching assistant and care-taker in a family, and I also worked in France (Aix-en-Provence) as an international volunteer part of the French Service Civique (mainly working at institutions and creating links with associations, workers and the public). I have also participated in Models of United Nations as delegation representant (getting awarded), in Erasmus+ exchanges, in NATO security schools courses and in other international and minor trainings and conferences. After finishing my studies, I worked as an intern at the European Union - Frontex and at the United Nations Office for Drugs and Crime (UNODC).
My greatest ambition is to work in an international organisation having the capacity to collaborate in and make the necessary changes and improvements that our entire society and planet need; to provide the best service I can to the community and to provide the security we need while keeping risks and inequalities at a minimum. I am a fast learner, a dedicated worker and a passionate person eager to discover, increase and exploit my full potential and give the best of me to the world.
