Aaron Devor, PhD, FSSSS, FSTLHE, is a pioneering researcher in the field of Transgender Studies who has worked in the field since the mid-1980s. Devor founded (2011) and serves as the subject matter expert for the world’s largest Transgender Archives. Devor initiated (2014) and still hosts the international, interdisciplinary Moving Trans History Forward conferences. Devor established (2016) and still leads the world’s first and only Research Chair in Transgender Studies. Devor is professor of Sociology, at the University of Victoria in British Columbia, Canada.
