I am a University Professor with over two decades of experience in teaching and research in African literary traditions and cultures, including proverbs, folktales, oral poetry, and children's genres. I am also interested in the "traditional" forms viz-a-viz more recent "revisioned" variants adapted to reflect current realities. One of my ongoing projects is a digital archive of West African folktales for preservation, teaching and research worldwide. I am Ghana's Focal Point for UNESCO's World Atlas of Languages and I lead a team that is translating readers into Ghana's indigenous languages.
