Dr Jackson Otieno is Water Economist at Athi Water Works Development Agency and a Research Fellow of the EfD in Kenya where he also doubles up as an executive committee member. He is a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Cape Town, School of Economics. He is also a guest lecturer at the University of Nairobi and supports the Department of Meteorology at the University of Nairobi in supervision of students. He is a former Principal Economist with National Treasury and Planning, Kenya. His current research interest is in the area of biodiversity conservation, climate change, water and sanitation, valuation of non-market environmental amenities, and economics of wildlife conservation.
