Roman Vakulchuk works as Head of Climate and Energy Research Group at the Norwegian Institute of International Affairs (NUPI), a think tank in Norway. He holds a PhD in Economics from Jacobs University Bremen in Germany. He advised international organizations (e.g., ADB, OECD, World Bank) and government institutions in Central Asia, Southeast Asia and Europe on economic reform, climate change and energy education. He is Co-Founder of the Central Asian Development Institute (CADI). In 2013, Vakulchuk was awarded the Gabriel Al-Salem International Award for Excellence in Consulting.
