I am a Teaching Professor for Mathematics and Director for International Partnerships at the University of Michigan - Shanghai Jiao Tong University Joint Institute (UM-SJTU JI). Having joined the JI in 2007, I have taught every cohort of students since JI's founding. I have received various prizes and awards, including the prestigious "Teaching and Educating People" 教书育人奖（一等奖）award of SJTU. Next to teaching, my interests and activities include work in academic integrity and international relations, where I have helped establish many international collaborations.
