Co-Director ArtsAction Group and Professor of Art & Design Education and New Media in the Department of Communications, Adelphi University. Maguire is also a member of Teachers Without Border's Global Advisory Board. Research expertise includes the role of arts and culture in global development, STEAM, arts and healing, and socially engaged art and art education. Maguire received her PhD in Art Education from New York University, her MA in Studio and Art Education from California State University, Long Beach, and BAE from the University of Kansas.
