Expert
Dr. T.Y. Branch researches values in science and their influence on science education, science communication and public trust in science. Her work responds to calls to situate science in society through the study of how epistemic values in science (e.g. objectivity, reliability, scope) are used compared to non-epistemic values in science (e.g. social welfare). She has worked directly with scientists as a Philosopher-in-Residence and as a science communicator in museums.
