I have a broad background in intervention and services research and practice with children and families who were at-risk or involved with the child welfare system. From 2015-2022 I led an international multi-site intervention study with siblings separated by out-of-home care. More recently, I developed an adaptive just-in-time telephone and web-mediated family navigator intervention for families of children at-risk of mental illness, child maltreatment, and other adverse childhood experiences. Across projects, my work aims to improve the health and well-being of children and families, and to elucidate the mechanisms underlying how interventions work, for whom, and under what conditions.
