Worked extensively on gender-related issues, in particular, the presence of employer discrimination in the US and Latin America, the underrepresentation of women in top positions at firms and the impact of child care markets on female labor supply. I consult regularly for the World Bank, the Inter-American Development Bank, OECD and UNDP. In addition to UNC, I am affiliated with IZA (Bonn), and am a co-editor of Labour Economics.
