I am an associate professor in education policy at the School of Education, Shanghai Jiao Tong University in China. After receiving a Ph.D. in higher education from the Pennsylvania State University, I worked at multiple international organizations including the OECD, UNESCO GEM Report, and UNESCO Institute for Lifelong Learning before relocating back to China in 2021. My current research focuses on secondary education policies and reforms in China, school tracking policies, and principal leadership.

While employing large-scale assessment data such as the PISA, and the PIAAC, my research provides an international and comparative perspective as well as rich national and local contexts.
