Introduction
I am an International Human Rights Educator, Advocate & Attorney who works with a number of NGOs on human rights and sustainable development issues. My major areas of expertise are related to international economic, social and cultural rights; the right to development and the Sustainable Development goals; and diversity, equity and inclusion. I spent 38 years as a law professor teaching basic courses in contracts and international and comparative law as well as specialized courses/seminars in international organizations and human rights. I retired in 2017 as a full-time law professor to devote more time to my interdisciplinary work with civil society organizations including the American Friends Service Committee, the US Human Rights Network(USHRN) and the Society of Law Teachers Human Rights Committee.
I particularly would like to join the Inclusive Policy Lab at this time in connection with my current work related to the human rights and sustainable development needs of People of African Descent(PAD) especially during the International Decade. Inter Alia, I am a member of the Advocacy for Africa (ADNA) Pan African Working Group which is responsible for coordinating ADNA's work relating to multilateral and regional forums including UN institutions and actions such as the establishment of the Permanent Forum on PAD and a draft declaration on the human rights of PAD.
