Introduction
Yume is an Associate Researcher at Includovate, a research incubator based in Australia and Ethiopia. She holds a BA with a First-Class Honours in International Development with International Education from the University of Sussex. In 2019 and 2020, she received global research awards for her research focused on marginalised groups of people including women and children, including the Thomas Clarkson Gold Medal Award in the Social Sciences: Anthropology and Cultural Studies category from the Global Undergraduate Awards.

Yume Tamiya holds a BA with a First-Class Honours in International Development with International Education from the University of Sussex. She has taken the lead on projects related to human rights advocacy and education and engaged in communications and fundraising for non-profit organisations working for marginalised children and youth. In 2019, she was named the Global Winner in Anthropology at the Global Undergraduate Awards for her work regarding the urgency to take the best interests of Palestinian children into account in policymaking, Israeli law enforcement and international response to the political, humanitarian crisis in Palestinian occupied territories. Yume currently works as an Associate Researcher at an international development consultancy firm: Includovate, engaging in projects for UNFPA Tanzania, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and Save the Children.
