Introduction
Líder de Apropiación social de la ciencia y la tecnología. Diana Marcela Caho Rodríguez, is a candidate for Master in Social Studies of Science at the Universidad el Rosario and Sociologist at the Universidad Santo Tomás. Her research and professional interests relate to the field of science and technology studies focused on standardization, coupling of technologies, democratization of science and technology, among others.
With professional experience in the management, design and execution of projects and research related to the field of science and technology and the Social Appropriation of Science, Technology and Innovation, public communication of Science, design and calculation of indicators related to Culture in Science, Technology and Innovation in Colombia. She has led and has been a researcher in projects with various actors of the National CTeI System, among which are: Production of Fake News in the Latin American context: How to identify what is a hundred of what is not, in pandemic seasons?, carried out for the Network for the Popularization of Science and Technology in Latin America and the Caribbean (Red Pop); Volcano, Risk and Territory. Volcanic Risk Communication Strategy in Colombia, carried out with the Colombian Geological Survey and the National Unit for Disaster Risk Management; Indicator Battery; Design implementation of a battery of indicators of Social Appropriation of Science, Technology and Innovation (ASCTeI) for the program "Give Cells"- of the District Institute of Science, Biotechnology and Health (IDCBIS); Design of a battery of indicators of Culture in Science, Technology and Innovation, for Colciencias. She has also participated in institutional initiatives with the aim of enabling the participation of citizens in science and technology issues in programs such as A ciencia cierta, Virtualia. Virtual School of Social Appropriation of the CTeI. She is the leader of the Social Appropriation of Science and Technology line since 2016.
