Introduction
I am researcher (PhD in Political Science) currently working at Northumbria University (UK) and as a guest assistant professor at the University of Ljubljana (Slovenia). I am interested in the organisation of the public sector, mainly how can governance reforms mend the democratic connection between citizens and representative government. I've undertaken research on co-creation, public value creation and public value theory and government communication. I have experience with empirical research in Ireland, Slovenia, UK and the EU institutions.

Andreja Pegan (PhD) is Political Scientist with proven experience in comparative research on public sector reform (co-creation and public value creation), public communication for democratic renewal and regional development. She has worked in several EU funded research projects and is experienced in team work. She has conducted empirical research in Slovenia, Ireland, the UK and in the EU institutions. Her work has been published in leading political science journals such as West European Politics and Journal of European Integration. She has presented her work the the European Commission (DG Regio) and the Committee of Regions.
Her educational background includes a PhD in Political Science (University of Luxembourg), an MA in European Union Studies (Leiden University), and a BA in Political Science/International Relations (University of Ljubljana). During her PhD, she was a guest researcher at the ARENA research centre of the University of Oslo.
