PhD Candidate in Public International International.
I am particularly interested in the normative interaction of norms jus cogens and State immunity and hopes to discover more efficient ideas, procedures, and paradigms to enhance international law's legitimacy in its quest to manage social situations and spaces.
My research project is titled 'Normativity and Hollowness of the Doctrine of Jus Cogens' and is expected to be completed by mid 2022. The research project focuses on the apparent hollowness of the normativity of the doctrine of jus cogens arising from the normative interaction of norms jus cogens and State immunity. The current legal position gives rise to enormous questions as norms jus cogens, the lex superior norms of international law, do not reflect their intended normative quality nor do they deliver their promise of ensuring that the "ethical minimum standards" of the international community are protected due to the various rules of the doctrine of State immunity.
