Lee Jones is a political economist focusing primarily on Southeast Asia and China. He has written extensively on the political and economic development of the region and is now heading up a large international team scrutinising China's Belt and Road Initiative and its effects across the world. This project examines why specific BRI projects are selected, how they are implemented, and their consequences for domestic and international politics and economic development.
