I have served as a leader in the development and implementation of cybersecurity, and more broadly, cyber policy for 30 years. Among other things, I created the first office in a foreign ministry dedicated to cyber issues and served as the US's top cyber diplomat. I also served as a prosecutor and top official dealing with cybercrime in the US Department of Justice and served as Senior Director for Cyber Policy at the White House where I helped create the Cyber Directorate in 2009 and produced the first International Strategy for Cyberspace in 2011. I currently help run the Global Forum on Cyber Expertise Foundation -- a global multistakeholder entity devoted to coordinating cyber capacity building among other positions. I have been led numerous efforts on cyber policy, capacity building and international cyber and Internet policy issues.
