I describe myself as an interdisciplinary Social Scientist who is interested in teaching and researching children and youth in Africa. I work on various themes including the social context of teaching and learning, reconstructing childhood, girlhood, sexuality, social geography and their bearing on social justice from a post-colonial perspective. My current research focuses on violence in childhood, specifically violence in schools in Africa.
