My research addresses challenges of local governance, service delivery and livelihoods, predominantly in Sub-Saharan Africa. My work has focused on equity and access challenges in the governance and management of domestic water systems, and on the politics of access to water for irrigation. As a social anthropologist with more than twenty years of experience in field research, I gained experience of facilitating co-production and action research on water governance, and detailed processes of institutional evolution.
