Her main research studies examined the social-emotional aspects and behavioral patterns among children and youth, with or without disabilities; the contribution of assistive technology and services for disabled students attending mainstreamed educational systems; the family, teachers and peers coping, adjustment and intervention programs. Prof. Heiman is involved in international theoretical and practical projects.
