International Juvenile Justice Observator

Dr. Francisco Legaz is the founding Chairman of the International Juvenile Justice Observatory (IJJO). During his more than 30 years of career, he has promoted a wide range of initiatives in the field of juvenile justice, defending the rights of children and adolescents at risk of social exclusion, especially those in conflict with the law. He has worked closely with organisations and entities at the international, state and local level, and has directed numerous training activities, scientific events and publications. He is a doctorate in Psychology, specialist in Clinical Psychology, specialist in Forensic Psychology, expert in Psychotherapy with Europsy Accreditation and has a postgraduate degree in Safety Sciences and Criminology. Lastly, he has been awarded the Distinguished Cross Second Class of the San Raimundo de Peñafort Order by Spanish Ministry of Justice, and he is Doctor Honoris Causa by the National University of Trujillo, Peru.
