World Press Freedom Day 2018

Ms. Vivian Affoah is a Senior Programme Officer for Freedom of Expression at the Media Foundation for West Africa (MFWA), a regional independent non-governmental media development and freedom of expression advocacy organisation headquartered in Accra, Ghana. She has for several years been coordinating the MFWA’s projects and activities on safety of journalists, anti-impunity and digital rights campaigns in West Africa.

She also supports the organisation’s conduct and writing of freedom expression research reports focusing on the state of freedom of expression in West Africa. Ms Affoah also supports the co-ordination and strengthening of relations between the MFWA and its National Partners in West Africa. 

 Before joining the MFWA, she worked with The Mail newspaper in Ghana where she covered social issues.
