World Press Freedom Day 2018

Tsedale Lemma has 18 years’ experience in journalism and has worked with several Ethiopian newspapers including the defunct Addis Tribune where she was a senior reporter.

In 2011, Tsedale established Addis Standard, a monthly magazine, making her one of the few female Managing Editors in Ethiopia. She is also the editor in chief of Addis Standard’s online publication.

Tsedale contributed articles to the European Press Network on a number issues including press freedom and safety of journalists, and has been a news contributor to the Xinhua news Agency. In 2015 she became member of the International Advisory Board of the Bandung Journal of the Global South.
