Serge Daho

Researcher - PROTÉGÉ-OV

Serge Daho is an ICT4D researcher with PROTEGE-QV (www.protegeqv.org). He contributed to Cameroon’s country report on Internet rights and democratisation (2011), showing how Internet and mobile phone companies are trying to restrict freedom online. He also co-authored the "Communications surveillance in the digital age" Cameroon country report (2014), on behalf of the Global Information Society Watch (GisWatch). In his civil society organisation, Serge closely monitored the 93-day Internet shutdown, the longest ever in Africa, that went on in the two restive anglophones regions of Cameroon in 2017. Serge holds a Political Science Master with political communication as specialization.
