Ramon Tuazon

President - Asian Institute of Journalism (AJIC) & Secretary General of the Asian Media Information and Communication Centre (AMIC)

Ramon Guillermo R. Tuazon is the president of the Asian Institute of Journalism and Communication (AIJC) and secretary general of the Asian Media Information and Communication Centre (AMIC). 
Mr. Tuazon is chairman of the Philippine Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Technical Committee for Communication (TCC) and member of the CHED Technical Working Group for Graduate Education.
He also participated in over 50 international and national research projects in various areas including mass media, communication, education and literacy, children’s rights, judicial reform, and rule of law.
Mr. Tuazon served as consultant to over 30 public information and communication programs and projects supported by multilateral and bilateral agencies including the World Bank, ADB, European Union, and UN agencies.
He has served UNESCO in various capacities. Most recently, he was Media Development Specialist for Myanmar (November 2012- January 2014).  He co-authored the UNESCO Media and Information Literacy Curriculum for Teachers (UNESCO Paris, 2011) and as UNESCO Consultant in Paris in 2005, he coordinated the preparation of UNESCO’s Model Curricula for Journalism Education (2007).
