Ndey Tapha Sosseh

Advisor to the Minister of Information and Communication Infrastructure - Gambia

Ndey Tapha Sosseh is an advisor to the Minister of Information and Communication Infrastructure in The Gambia. She is an experienced journalist with a vast experience of working with journalist associations in all the ECOWAS member states. In her capacity as project coordinator of the WAJA-Capacity Building Project, she organized training activities for West African journalists. Her training activities have often given gender-sensitive reporting special focus. As treasurer of the Federation of African Journalists she contributed to the creation of the All Africa Gender Council for Journalists. She sits on the board of various human rights defenders organizations, where she specifically contributes to the protection of journalists’ rights. She is also a founder member and former secretary general of the Coalition for Change in the Gambia (CCG) under which she has been actively involved in human rights advocacy.
