Lamia Radi is a war correspondent who started her career as a journalist the UN Geneva headquarters in 1982.
Head of the Associated Press Arabic Language Service from 2014 to 2018, she currently works as a Media Trainer and Consultant for several international institutions.
Member of the launch team of Sky News Arabia and Head of the Website of the Abu Dhabi based channel, she undertook field assignments in the Gulf and Middle-East along with her managerial duties between 2011 and 2014.
Senior Middle-East Correspondent at Agence France Presse (1993-2008), she covered conflicts and major events in the ME, North and East-Africa with assignments in Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Sudan, Eritrea, Libya, Palestinian Territories, Algeria, Tunisia, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Jordan, Yemen and the UAE.
As a Media Trainer and Consultant, Radi worked with BBC Media Action, Federation Inrternationale des Journalistes (FIJ), AFP Foundation, Deutsche Welle, The American University in Cairo (AUC) and Thomson-Reuters Foundation.
A graduate of Cairo Faculty of Commerce, she also holds a post-graduate diploma in Art Criticism.
Currently based in Cairo, she lived in Rome, Geneva, Beirut, Dubai and Yemen.
