World Press Freedom Day 2017

Ms Pinpaka Ngamsom is an online editor at Voice TV. She previously worked as an online producer at BBC Thai Service and editor-in-chief of Prachatai news website.

She focuses on human rights, politics and foreign affairs issues. While serving as a reporter and editor in chief of Prachatai, an independent news website, for more than 10 years, Pinpaka conducted series of training on sensitivities and gender issues for its staff and networks. She also attended and co-organised Youth Engagement and Gender Responsive Advocacy for Media in Asia and The Pacific under support of UN Women.

Of a year working for the BBC Thai as a multimedia producer, she was the sole reporter and producer for the service, covering domestic breaking news and special reports on subjects from politics, security, economics, human rights, social and urban problems, disaster, art and culture and trends.
