World Press Freedom Day 2017

Edgardo P. Legaspi is the Executive Director of the Southeast Asian Press Alliance (SEAPA), based in Bangkok, Thailand. Since July 2015, he leads and manages the operations that coordinate the regional activities of SEAPA's member organizations.
Before his appointment as Executive Director, Legaspi was the Alerts and Communications Officer of SEAPA, working on the organization’s external communications, including the formulation of its positions and strategies on regional and country issues.
Before joining SEAPA, Legaspi was the manager for communications at the Asian Forum for Human Rights and Development (FORUM-ASIA) and had spent over two years with the regional human rights networks on assignments related to programs on the ethnic minorities/indigenous peoples, ASEAN as well as peace and human security. He has almost three decades of civil society experience.
