World Press Freedom Day 2017

Diana Senghor (Senegal), founder of the Panos Institute West Africa (PIWA), set up in 2000 as an independent member of the Global Panos Network. From this date, she has been the Director General of PIWA. Previously, Diana was the regional Director for the West Africa Programme at Panos Paris, operating from France. Her background is in research; she worked for the Anthropology Department at the Dakar University, and in journalism; she had been the editor of several West African magazines).
