World Press Freedom Day 2017

Andi Muhyiddin is an Indoneesian journalist with 15 years of experience in television and online media. Currently, he is the head of multimedia at the news site Liputan6.com, where his team produces documentaries and in-depth news reporting. Previously, he worked as the head of current affairs at SCTV and Indosiar. During his career in television news he covered various conflicts, natural disasters and issues related to immigration and refugees. A particular highlight is his coverage of Afghan refugees in West Java, whose presence frequently caused social problems due to cultural differences. Muhyiddin is also a member of Indonesia's Alliance of Independent Journalists and active in the fight for press freedom. He frequently lectures on educational campuses on new media and mobile journalism.
