World Press Freedom Day 2016

Magda Abu-Fadil is the director of Media Unlimited, and is an experienced foreign correspondent and editor, as well as a writer for various Arab dailies. She conducts seminars and workshops in English, Arabic and French for professional journalists across the Arab world, collaborates with international organizations on media projects, and publishes extensively on topics of journalism. Previously, she worked with the Washington-based Defense News, was the Washington bureau chief of Events magazine, and the Washington correspondent for the London-based The Middle East magazine. She also founded and headed the Journalism Training Program at the American University of Beirut, and served as director of the Institute for Professional Journalists at the Lebanese American University. Abu-Fadil also taught journalism at her alma mater, American University in Washington, D.C.
