World Press Freedom Day 2016

Jussi-Pekka Rantanen is a Senior TV News Presenter and Producer at the Finnish Broadcasting Company Yle hosting the major flagship TV news bulletins. Mr Rantanen has also hosted Yle’s Morning TV as well as a popular arts and culture series Strawberry Fields. As a presenter, Rantanen has been involved in a number of different program projects including e.g. opera broadcasts, gala concerts, seminars and the Independence Day Reception at the Presidential Palace.

On top of his domestic career, Rantanen has hosted and moderated many international events abroad. In these projects, he has worked for the European Broadcasting Union EBU, NewsXChange, the Council of Europe, Prix Europa and NHK.
