Building peace in the minds of men and women

UNESCO Web Archive

The UNESCO website contains a wealth of information about the Organization and its activities. Since the website's creation in 1995, millions of pages have been published. As web technologies change, this wealth is at risk of being lost. In an effort to preserve this valuable web heritage for present and future generations, UNESCO has launched a web archiving project, in cooperation with Internet Memory Research.

Internet Archive's Wayback Machine also includes a collection of archived UNESCO web pages from 1997 onward. While impressive, their coverage is not comprehensive as Internet Archive aims for broad coverage of the whole Internet, rather than in-depth coverage of individual organizations.
