Events - FRIEND-Water
- The Seventh Global FRIEND-Water Conference (FRIEND-Water2014) was held in Montpellier, France, from 7-10 October 2014. The conference was entitled Hydrology in a Changing World: Environmental and Human Directions. The FRIEND-Water 2014 aimed at sharing knowledge about change in hydrological processes (e.g. regimes, hydro-extremes), their impacts (e.g. ecological flows, erosion-sedimentation), and how this knowledge can be streamlined to let water management and policy to adapt it.
- The Sixth World FRIEND 2010 Conference was held in Fez, Morocco, from 25 to 29 October 2010. It was convened jointly by UNESCO/IHP, the German IHP/HWRP National Committee, IRD, IAHS, MED FRIEND, FSTF/Fez and HydroSciences Montpellier.
- A Regional Study Course on Hydro-Hazards in a Changing Climate was held in Bhutan as a contribution HKH FRIEND, from 28 November to 3 December 2010. It was convened jointly by UNESCO/IHP Paris, Delhi and Peking, the Department of Energy – Ministry of Economic Affairs, Bhutan and the Norwegian Water Resources and Energy Directorate, Norway.
- The EURO-FRIEND 2008 Workshop was held from 28-30 May 2008 in Koblenz, Germany to review status of the European Water Archive (EWA) and to discuss data policy, data requirements and future update structures. PPTs and documents presented at the meeting are available online.
