Journalism education

Global challenges compel the journalism landscape to adapt constantly. In 2007, UNESCO developed its first framework to assess the quality of journalism education institutions in Africa: the “Global Initiative for Excellence in Journalism Education”.

In 2007, the IPDC first publication “Model Curricula for Journalism Education” came out under the “UNESCO Series on Journalism Education”. Since then, the IPDC has developed education material in more than 30 languages.
