Memory of the World Online Course for Teachers

UNESCO is launching an online course for teachers on how to incorporate the Memory of the World (MoW) International Register in their teaching. Consisting of important historical items from all over the world, the MoW International Register has enormous potential for teaching.

The International Day for Universal Access to Information is celebrated each year around the world on the 28 September. The global conference opening ceremony taking place in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, will launch the 2022 edition of the Day under the theme “Artificial Intelligence, e-Governance and Access to Information”.

Implementation of the UNESCO Open Data guidelines in support of transparency, innovation and e-governance

The overall theme of the 2022 International Day for Universal Access to Information celebrations is «Artificial Intelligence, e-Governance and Access to Information ».  UNESCO and its Information for All Programme (IFAP), in collaboration with the International Research Centre on AI (IRCAI) and UNESCO Chairs on AI and Data Sciences, have developed Open Data Guidelines to apprise governments of the value of openness of data for AI and empowering them through a set of steps to take action.  The Guidelines outline concrete steps in the preparation, opening and follow-up for reuse of data. In the 5th panel, the speakers will review the guidelines during the session, and the audience will be invited to provide its comments.
