UNESCO Creative Cities Network XIV Annual Conference

The XIV Annual Conference of the UNESCO Creative Cities Network (UCCN) will be held in Santos, Brazil, from 18 to 22 July 2022. The Conference will bring together representatives of the cultural and creative sectors and mayors of UCCN member cities, in order to promote sustainable development through culture and creativity. Organized by UNESCO in collaboration with the city of Santos, a UNESCO Creative City of Film since 2015, the 2022 UCCN Annual Conference will be an opportunity to share innovative ideas and projects and to create new synergies around the theme "Creativity, path to equality".

Let’s Get Talking: Launch of the UNESCO Framework for Enabling Intercultural Dialogue

On September 20th, UNESCO will launch the UNESCO Framework for Enabling Intercultural Dialogue and accompanying global report, We Need to Talk: Measuring Intercultural Dialogue for Peace and Inclusion. Featuring a ministerial roundtable and expert panel, this global launch will highlight the initial findings of the new Framework, which tell an important story of the connection of Intercultural Dialogue has to peace building, development, and security. The event will feature real world applications and success stories of Intercultural Dialogue from the viewpoints of a variety of stakeholders.

UNESCO World Conference on Cultural Policies and Sustainable Development – MONDIACULT 2022

The UNESCO World Conference on Cultural Policies and Sustainable Development – MONDIACULT 2022 - will be convened by UNESCO forty years after the first Mondiacult World Conference on Cultural Policies held in Mexico City (Mexico) in 1982, and 24 years after the UNESCO World Conference on Cultural Policies for Development held in Stockholm (Sweden) in 1998. The UNESCO-MONDIACULT 2022 World Conference will be hosted from 28 to 30 September 2022 by the Government of Mexico.

17th Meeting of the Committee for protection of cultural property in the event of armed conflict

The Committee is composed of twelve States Parties to the Second Protocol to The Hague Convention of 1954 for the Protection of Cultural Property in the Event of Armed Conflict. It shall meet once a year in ordinary session.
