Sustainable Heritage Management Foundation Course

 The “Sustainable Heritage Management Foundation Course” is organized by UNESCO Bangkok in cooperation with Think City Institute and the Asian Academy for Heritage Management network. This course will offer participants exposure to fundamental principles, innovative tools, good practices and on-the-ground case studies for sustainable cultural heritage management.The Sustainable Heritage Management Foundation Course is divided into five modules which will focus on the five Core Competencies defined under UNESCO’s new Competence Framework. Each module is led by a leading university in the Asia-Pacific region in the area of cultural heritage management.

Working Group on the Revision of the Rules of Procedure of the Meeting of States Parties to the 1970 Convention

Established by the Fifth Meeting of States Parties (Resolution5.MSP 13, May 2019), the first meeting of the Working Group on the Revision of the Internal Regulation of the Convention on the Means of Prohibiting and Preventing the Illicit Import, Export and Transfer of Ownership of Cultural Property (Convention 1970), will held on 1st March 2021, from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. at UNESCO Headquarters in Room XI.

Second Session of the Online Training of Trainers (ToT) on the UCH Management and Sustainable Development in the Arab States

UNESCO organizes the Second Session of the Online Training of Trainers (ToT) on the Underwater Cultural Heritage (UCH) Management and Sustainable Development in the Arab States from 8 to 10 March 2021. It will be held in partnership with the Centre for Maritime Archaeology and Underwater Cultural Heritage (CMAUCH) at Alexandria University in Egypt where UNESCO Chair in Underwater Cultural Heritage (UCH) was established in 2020.
