Luang Prabang Youth Ambassadors’ Forum
Luang Prabang Youth Ambassadors’ Forum titled “Building Community-centred Innovations to Promote Sustainable Development and Safeguard Intangible Cultural Heritage” is a great opportunity for young people in Luang Prabang to work alongside experts from UNESCO, United Nations University, Tokyo Tech, International Training Center for Intangible Cultural Heritage in the Asia-Pacific Region under the auspices of UNESCO (CRIHAP) and Traditional Arts and Ethnology Centre (TAEC) to discover new community-led innovation from living heritage of diverse communities.
The objective of this forum is to address needs of local communities through adopting design thinking approaches in safeguarding intangible cultural heritage (ICH) and achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The Forum ensures inclusiveness by seeking participants from different ethnic groups who show interest in diverse ICH domains, from performing arts, craftsmanship, rituals, festivals to belief systems and oral traditions.
