Open Science Advisory Committee
UNESCO Recommendation on Open Science will be prepared through a regionally balanced, inclusive and transparent consultation process. An Open Science Advisory Committee is established by the Director-General of UNESCO to guide the consultative process leading to the Recommendation by:
- providing expert and strategic advice;
- ensuring delivery of the process milestones;
- providing support with fundraising.
Four representatives of Member States from each the UNESCO electoral groups and six representatives of key scientific bodies and institutions dealing with open science, are selected by taking into account geographical and gender balance as well as expertise and competence in the field of open science.
