Mobilising UNESCO Chairs in Natural Sciences for Policy Action towards the 2030 Agenda

Exhibition

How, together, we contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals

It is now well accepted that sustainable development and climate change can only be tackled thanks to the involvment of Science, Technology and Innovation (STI).

UNESCO's network of Chairs and UNITWIN Networks related to Natural Sciences, through their vast and acute expertise in their respective fields, are thus central to raise awareness, propose solutions and activities, and provide advise on implementation to contribute to the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals.

Through this conference, UNESCO is seizing the opportunity to map its network's activities on the SDGs. To this end, a survey was distributed among the network. Its results will be disclosed during the conference.

The different projects implemented by the network’s members reveal the diversity and the commitment of science and of scientists, researchers and academia for the Sustainable Development Goals. An exhibition displaying these projects will be visible in the University of Geneva - Switzerland for the whole duration of the conference.

Considered as an opportunity to share and to network, these unique and visual evidence of the work done for the SDGs will be the conference’s main venue for social gatherings. The opening will take place during the Welcoming Cocktail on 4 July 2017.
