This training aimed at establishing a network of correspondents and increase their knowledge of ICTS in various areas to support local broadcasting. The training took place from 19-23 August 2013 in Eenhana at Ohangwena Community Radio for a total of 6 participants (2 men and 4 women).

Date: 15/07 Correspondents' network and ICTs for programming, editorial work and diffusion in Mafeteng Image: Introduction:

A workshop carried out from 15 to 19 July 2013 capacitated 10 correspondents (4 women) from Mafeteng community radio station. Trainees were motivated to discuss the value and possible applications of ICTs in the context of radio broadcasting. The workshop provided Mafeteng community radio station correspondents the knowledge and skills to integrate ICTs into broadcasting in order to improve the quality of programming and encourage Mafeteng community participation.

Date: 18/06 !AH Radio training on Editorial, Programming, Monitoring and Introduction to use of ICTs in Radio broadcasting Image: Introduction:

UNESCO Windhoek cluster office organized and carried out a 3 day training workshop at !AH radio station, from 18th June 2013 to 20th June 2013. This training aimed at providing training on editorial, programming, monitoring, gender focus and introduction to ICTs to 6 participants (4 women and 2 men) from !aH Radio station in Tsumkwe, Namibia. The training was carried out by Mr. Khumbulani M. Ndlovu, station manager of Base FM, and assisted by Arantxa Mandiola, UNESCO Windhoek.

The training was hosted by Kahama FM Radio, in the Shinyanga region, Tanzania, and took part from 3 to 7 December 2012. Twenty community radio practioners from five community radio stations came together for a five days training workshop on radio programming and gender.
