The IFAP Bureau consists of eight members including a Chairperson, six Vice-Chairpersons on the basis of equitable geographical distribution, and a Rapporteur, where the Chairperson and the Rapporteur are elected in their personal capacity. IFAP Bureau formally meets twice a year.
The functions of the Bureau shall include:
- appraising, selecting and approving projects to be funded by the IFAP special funds subject to the availability of resources;
- making recommendation for the organization of the work of the Council;
- ensuring the effective implementation of the resolutions of the Council;
- raising, with the collaboration of the Secretariat, extrabudgetary sources of financing for the activities of the Programme.
The current Bureau is composed of a Chairperson, five Vice-Chairpersons and a Rapporteur:
