Mr. Francisco Javier Acuña Llamas (Mexico) is the President of the National Institute for Transparency, Access to Information and Personal Data Protection, the main body in Mexico for ensuring the people’s right to access government information as well as personal data protection. Previously, he was Professor of Information Law at the National Autonomous University of Mexico. He has authored several books and publications on matters related to electoral transparency, right to information, corruption and human rights.
