Ms. Amy Goodman (USA) is a broadcast journalist and investigative reporter. She hosts ‘Democracy Now!’ an independent global news program broadcast daily on radio and television. In 2012, she was awarded the Gandhi Peace Award for a “significant contribution to the promotion of an enduring international peace”. Her most famous investigative reports included the coverage of the East Timor independence movement and the role of the American oil/gas corporation during the deadly riots against the company in Nigeria in 1998.
