Objectives and Mission: 

Building cultural bridges between Turkey and other countries and foster a deeper understanding of Turkish cultural heritage through education programmes and people-to-people cultural exchanges.

TCF programmes support the preservation and promotion of Turkey’s tangible and intangible cultural heritages including:
Cultural Heritage Projects: Natural Dye Research and Development Laboratory (DATU); Culinary Arts Center (YESAM); Who’s Who in Turkish Art and Culture; Turkish Shadow Puppet Theater: Karagoz; Turkish Music Dictionary; Image Archive of Turkish Art.
Cultural Heritage Preservation Grants: Kars Historical District Restoration; Catalhoyuk Excavation; Iron Age Settlements in Turkey Inventory Project; Turkish and Islamic Art Museum Carpet Restoration Project; Anatolian Seljuk Monuments Inventory Project.
Research and Education in Cultural Heritage: TCF Web Portals on Turkish Culture, Music and Cuisine; TCF Teacher Education Programs; TCF Fellowships; Scholarships and Grants in Turkish Language, Cultural and Art; Anatolia Before You: A children’s Guide to Anatolian Civilizations; Impressions of Ottoman Culture in Europe: 1453-1699.
